Canva ProSuite launches 15 September 2026
Canva rolled out ProSuite on 15 September 2026: a pro-focused bundle linking Affinity, Cavalry, Flourish, Leonardo, adding 100 features that matter to creatives.
Canva launched ProSuite on 15 September 2026, a connected collection of professional tools that brings Affinity, Cavalry, Flourish and Leonardo into a single workflow and adds more than 100 new features requested by designers.
Why it matters: this is Canva’s clearest move yet to court creative professionals without abandoning the millions who use its free tools. The company says it has 250 million users as of this month and processes over a billion designs each month; in the UK alone it counted 224 million designs in the last 12 months and about 750,000 small businesses use the platform every month.
ProSuite bundles specialist apps — Affinity for design and photo work, Cavalry for motion, Flourish for data visualisation and Leonardo for AI image generation — and promises the core Affinity and Cavalry tools will stay free to use.
What’s new for creatives
- Blend Tool: a long-requested feature in Affinity that automates morphing between shapes with bias and easing, and can run elements along curves.
- Photography and layout upgrades: a streamlined Mask Tool, 3D model support, a way to turn a flattened image back into layers, and INDD import for older InDesign files.
- Automation and scripting: in-app scripting, a Claude AI connector, and workflow hooks to move assets between apps in the suite.
- Cavalry enhancements: around 50 new features now, plus a coming-soon capability to edit text or colour in an animation inside Canva while the core scene remains locked.
Canva has made similar acquisitions before — Affinity’s free-forever pledge and seven million downloads helped bring more professionals into its orbit — but ProSuite is the first time those parts are explicitly positioned as a single professional workflow.

The short version for creators: the free tools just got considerably more capable, and they now talk to each other. For illustrators, motion artists, photographers and anyone who produces visual content — musicians designing cover art or stage visuals included — ProSuite offers tighter pipelines without forcing a subscription-only lock-in.
Whether this will shift studio habits en masse remains to be seen, but ProSuite makes a clear bet: give pros powerful, integrated tools while keeping accessible entry points free, and the platform grows from the edges inward.
