Ozzy Osbourne's haunted-house attraction, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince Of Darkness, is running at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights through November 1, 2026 — and it's a loud, theatrical salute to his musical life rather than a sombre memorial.

What it is

The indoor walkthrough turns iconic Ozzy imagery and song moments into immersive sets. It opens beneath a facade of gothic church ruins where Ozzy's face is projected in water while "Straight to Hell" (from Ordinary Man) plays. From there the scenes move through career touchstones: a 1988 No Rest for the Wicked–inspired temple of cloaked cultists with masks bearing Ozzy's symbol, claustrophobic dungeons scored to "Patient Number 9," and staged jump-scares that rely on strobe, prosthetics and live actors.

The production leans into theatrical excess. A giant bat descends to decapitate a towering Prince of Darkness figure, werewolves costumed as Ozzy stalk among oversized tombstones to "Bark at the Moon," and a full-sized train carriage becomes a literal Crazy Train, with an Ozzy actor on stilts in conductor's garb who ushers guests aboard. The finale features the throne from his very last concert — played for celebration rather than mourning.

Context and reaction

Universal Studios announced the attraction on July 29, 2026, and will run it at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood until November 1, 2026. While some fans questioned turning a recently deceased artist into a commercial event, Universal has staged Ozzy- and Black Sabbath-themed horror attractions before — in 2013 an attraction tied to Black Sabbath: 13 was even visited by Ozzy, who called it "great, scared me a couple of times."

The house plays like a greatest-hits stage show reimagined as a haunted spectacle: literal callbacks (the Crazy Train set) sit alongside mood pieces that translate album art into walk-through theatre.
